What is Bella Notte?
Bella Notte is the first book, in what I hope to be, a four book series. It is the story of Emma Hutchinson and her transformation from the living human world into the not undead vampire world. You'll find that my vampires are quite different from the everyday type, which I pride myself on. The story is filled with the normal issues that many teenagers are faced with on a day to day basis, but it is also colored with the lens of a vampire. You see, Emma was born human, but she was born to two vampires. Now, before you gasp for breath, you see, that is the way things go... they are all born human and then they go through a transformation or a change (whatever you want to call it) and their very DNA changes into a vampire. Her change is brought on by a very serious event (no, I'm not going to tell you, you have to read the book to find out!). But it is her change that triggers all the really cool stuff that happens in the book. I really hope that you enjoy it, as I loved writing it and I can't wait to start writing the next one.

Author: Emma, I have some awesome news to tell you!
Emma: Everything is suddenly back to normal?
Author: No, I am going to get this book published.
Emma: Why? Who the devil would want to read something that's like 108,962 words or something. That is a lot of bloody words!
Author: Because your story, BELLA NOTTE needs to be told. There are OVER 400 people out there who have had a sneak peak at the first few chapters of your story and who are begging me to read more about your life.
Emma: People need to read about a teenage girl that becomes a vampire, falls in love with both her betrothed and her mortal enemy, while having a death prophecy swinging over her head? Yeah right!
Author: It's a beautiful story about teenage life, and normal stuff that everyday people go through on a day to day basis...
Emma: Wait, you're telling me that your DNA has mutated into vampire DNA too? That your boyfriend turned into a werewolf and found out that he is betrothed to another werewolf, and that you are betrothed to a vampire? That's some serious stuff, maybe you should see someone about that.
Author: Emma Mary Hutchinson, don't make me erase you!
Emma: You love me too much to erase me, heck you've written over half of BELLA VITA, the second book in the series, and have a rough outline for the other two! That should either tell you I am making you insane and you have to get my out of your head, or you really think that my story is worth telling.
Author: Emma, your story is like the SOOKIE STACKHOUSE series , the VAMPIRE ACADEMY series , and the BLUE BLOODS series all rolled into one, only different!
Emma: If I wasn't only a figment of your imagination then I might actually know what the heck you are talking about.
Author: Don't roll your eyes when you talk to me, Ugh! They are other books in the young adult supernatural romance genre. Ones that have done awesomely, by the way. Just like this book is going to do. I mean we already have a fan base with people that have read the first five chapters and loved it, while it was still in its rough draft form! This book isn't Just for young adults, I have people who are in their late teens, 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, and even a little 10 year old girl who is in love with your story. It won't take any time before a publishing company is like I must have that book! Besides, this is way better than some of the books already out there.
Emma: Whatever. You be all optimistic about it, I have to try and figure out how I am going to deal with going to vampire school, being without Mike, being with Dominic, living in Italy, and what this prophecy thing about saving both the vampire people and werewolf people all means, not to mention anything else you dream up for me! I think I have a little more of my plate than you do with all of this! Hang on, there's people who aren't just my age, like OLD people and a little girl. Woah, it's like I'm a STAR!
Author: Oh no, it's gone to your head now! I have to write it all down! Anyways, I am going to send out query letters now.
Emma: Have fun with that... hey, maybe they could make an Emma doll! That would be so COOL! [she giggles and leaves].
Author: Life is going to be so fun with her now [shakes her head].
